Now is the perfect time to get your clubs ready for golf season. The Forza Golf, 2 in 1 Groove Sharpener/Cleaning Tool is the first place we started.

We tend to forget about how dirty the grooves might be on the club face. They get the occasional once over with your golf towel but that will only clean the surface dirt off. An on-bag brush can get more dirt out but to to get deep in the grooves a cleaning tool is needed. Follow these steps to clean and sharpen your grooves.

  1. First you will want to clean the club head with a little soapy water and dry it with a towel
  2. Apply masking tape to both edges of the club head to avoid scratching
  3. Spray WD-40 or any househould oil you may have on the club head to act as a lubricant.
  4. Chose which point to use on your Forza Golf cleaning tool. You can find what grooves your clubs have by looking online at your club manufacturers website.
  5. Slowly use the cleaning tool to get the first layer off of the groove. A couple of times over the groove is enough. Then press harder on the next passes. Repeat until all grooves are done.
  6.  Wipe clean and remove tape.

Not only will your grooves be clean but this process will also sharpen the the grooves and provide more spin and control when hitting the ball. It is a good practice to do this several times throughout the season. To purchase the Forza Golf 2 in 1 Groove Sharpener/Cleaning Tool, visit their website HERE
